The gas crisis has intensified in Chattogram due to the low gas supply from Maheshkhali LNG terminal. 310 to 400 million cubic feet gas was available from the national grid for the entire district. On Tuesday, only 280 million cubic feet of gas was available in Chattogram. Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL) is supplying gas across Chattogram.

The residents of Chattogram are suffering a lot due to the gas crisis. The stove is not burning in most places during the day. CNG filling stations are also facing problems. Long queues of vehicles are seen in front of CNG filling stations due to severe gas crisis.

It was known that 250 to 260 million cubic feet of gas has been available in Chattogram since the morning of October 21. Every day 300 million cubic feet of gas was available. At present, the supply of LNG has decreased. At present, 260 to 280 million cubic feet is available daily. That's why there's a bit of a problem. It is not yet known when this crisis will be resolved.
