Six robbers held in Nabinagar

Police arrested 6 robbers while preparing for robbery in Nabinagar of Brahmanbaria. At that time, 2 country-made single-barreled guns, 7 cartridges and 2 cartridges were recovered from them.

They were arrested last Monday night from Dharabhanga village of Barikandi union of the upazila. The arrested are Md Arman (42) of Alipur village of Narsingdi district, Kazi Tarek (34), Amjad Hossain (27), Sajjad Mana (22), Ashraful Islam Himel (20) and Abu Saeed (27) of the same village. ).

Confirming the truth of the incident, Nabinagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Humayun Kabir said that on Monday night, on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted at Balu Mahal in Dharabhanga village and six persons were arrested along with an engine-driven speed boat in front of Balu Mahal.

Later, they were searched and 2 country-made single-barreled guns, 7 cartridges and 2 cartridges were recovered. He said that they had organized to rob various houses in the area including Balu Mahal. A robbery preparation case and an Arms Act case have been registered against them. Yesterday morning, the accused were sent to jail through the court.
