The district's Superintendent of Police (SP) Bashir Ahmed exchanged views with the Editors' Council, formed by various newspapers published from Manikganj. The meeting was held yesterday afternoon in the conference room of the Superintendent of Police.
At the time, the Superintendent of Police said that the importance of local newspapers in the district is immense. Newspapers play an important role in nation-building, law and order and the development of local areas. Editors have to work for the society out of their own responsibility. He also called on the editors to present objective news by following the law and rules while publishing news.
