Top drug dealer arrested with heroin

Jahangir Hossain (46), the top drug dealer of Daulatdia in Goland upazila of Rajbari, was arrested by the police along with 7 and a half grams of heroin.

He is the son of Abdul Gani of Mallapatti Nahunpara village of Ujanchar union of the upazila. Meanwhile, his two accomplices managed to escape. He was arrested yesterday around 4:15 pm from the courtyard of Nuri Gate Babu's house in Patitapalli adjacent to Daulatdayya Porabhita.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Goaland Ghat police station Rakibul Islam said that on the basis of secret information, SI Farid Mia and SI Aminul Haque Sangeet along with the force conducted a raid on the yard of the house of Nuri Gate Babu of Patitapalli near Daulatdia Poravita and arrested Jahangir Hossain along with 7 and a half grams of heroin. At that time, his other two accomplices managed to escape after realizing the presence of the police. In this regard, a case has been filed against 3 people under the Narcotics Control Act. He was produced in the court in the afternoon.

Locals said that Daulatdia's top drug dealer Jahangir Hossain has been dealing in drugs by managing local influencers for a long time. He built a huge amount of wealth by building houses, markets and buying cars in various places including Barisal, Daulatdia with drug money. The arrest of the top drug dealers including him is bringing relief to the people of the area.
