Every year, lakhs of tourists visit Cox's Bazar, the world's longest beach city, during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. And dishonest businessmen and transport drivers take advantage of this opportunity. Such accusations have been around for a long time. However, this time the tourist police called the businessmen and people of the transport sector related to tourism and issued four instructions in advance.
On the other hand, Additional DIG of Tourist Police Cox's Bazar Region Md Apple Mahmud confirmed the information to The Daily Post at the Tourist Police Cox's Bazar Region Office yesterday.
He said, "We have already been able to ensure the safety of tourists. A three-tier security has been taken to ensure the safety of the tourists who will come in the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr."
Additional DIG Apel Mahmud added tourists cannot be harassed in any way. The stakeholders have been instructed not to charge extra money without a fixed fare and not to misbehave with tourists. Strict legal action will be taken if any complaint is made.
