Two people were killed in three separate road accidents in Narsingdi. Another was injured. The incidents occurred yesterday in Bilasdi of Sadar Upazila, Darihairmara of Raipur Upazila and Karachar areas of Shibpur Upazila.
The deceased are Joynal Uddin's son Ain Uddin (60) and Sohel Mia's son Sabbir Hossain (20). The seriously injured Rafiqul Islam (50) has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
It is learned that Sabbir Hossain was seriously injured after being crushed by a wheel while he was cultivating agricultural land with a tractor in the Darihairmara area of Raipura upazila in the morning. He later died on the way to the 100-bed General Hospital.
On the other hand, Joynal Uddin was injured after being hit by a battery-powered easy bike in Allah Chattar in Bilasadi area of Narsingdi municipality in the afternoon. Later, he was taken to the hospital and declared dead by the doctor.
In addition, around 1 pm, motorcyclist Rafiqul Islam was injured after being hit by a covered van on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in front of Medina Jute Mill in Karachar area of Shibpur upazila. Later, the doctor on duty sent him to Dhaka when he was taken to the hospital.
