Two weapons recovered in Navy operation

Bangladesh Navy has recovered two weapons and ammunition along with indigenous weapons in Kutubdia of Cox's Bazar. Navy conducted a special operation in Char area of ​​Tabal in Ali Akbar Dale Union of Qutubdia Upazila yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, during the operation, a single-barreled gun, a pistol, seven rounds of live ammunition and three domestically-made sharp weapons were recovered buried under the ground on the bank of a house's pond. However, the raiding party could not arrest anyone in this incident.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Qutubdia police station Arman Hossain said that the firearms recovered in the Navy operation were handed over to the police station. Legal action is being taken in this regard.

It is known that according to the instructions of the current government, Bangladesh Navy is conducting regular patrols and operations to recover illegal weapons and eliminate terrorism in the responsible areas of Bangladesh Navy deployed under 'In Aid to Civil Power'.
