The 9th founding anniversary of Yellow Lamp, a voluntary organization working under the slogan 'Aware People, Safe Roads', was celebrated in Pabna.
Various programs were organized throughout the day yesterday. The program began in the morning with the hoisting of the national and organization flags. Then a colorful procession was taken out with placards and yellow umbrellas.
After the procession, a drawing competition was held with the participation of students at the freedom fighter Rafiqul Islam Bakul Swadhinata Chattar. After the discussion meeting in the afternoon, commemorative mementos were presented to individuals and organizations who voluntarily contributed to traffic control during the country's crisis. At the end, prizes were distributed.
Superintendent of Police Mortoza Ali Khan was the chief guest at these programs. Additional Superintendent of Police of Sadar Circle Mahfuz Hossain, Assistant Director of Pabna General Hospital Dr Rafiqul Hasan, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services Rashedul Kabir, Executive Engineer of the Pabna Roads and Highways Department Abul Mansur Ahmed, Assistant Director (Engineering) of BRTA Altab Hossain, Assistant Director of Pabna Fire Service and Civil Defense Sharful Hasan Bhuiyan.
The program was presided over by the President of Yellow Lamp Md Shahidullah and hosted by General Secretary Zakaria Islam Shovon.
Yellow Lamp General Secretary Zakaria Islam Shovon said, 'The main objective of the organization is to ensure medical care to unknown persons injured in road accidents and to prevent road accidents by creating public awareness.'
