Police have recovered the body of a teenager named Zisan (19) from the side of the Dhaka-Chattogram highway. Police suspect that he may have been hit by an unknown vehicle. He left his house for work and returned as a dead body. He was a laborer by profession and worked in a factory called Anwar Cement Seat.
The body was recovered from the opposite side of the Anwar Cement Seat Factory in the Charbaushia Barakandi area of Baushia Union on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway of the upazila at around 9:30 am yesterday.
It is learned that the deceased Jisan (19) is the son of Ali Akbar of Jhauchar village in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj. However, he had been living in his maternal grandfather's house in Bhabanipur village of Hossaindi union of Gazaria upazila for the past few months.
The family of the deceased said that Jisan had left Bhabanipur every day for work at the Baushia Anwar Cement Seat Company. Since he was late returning home, we tried to call him on his mobile phone several times and did not get him, so we searched for him all night. Later, on Friday morning, we went to Baushia area, where the deceased worked, and found his body.
Humayun Kabir of Bhaberchar Highway Police Outpost said that locals saw a body on the side of the Cumilla-bound lane of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway and informed the police. After receiving the information, the police went to the scene and recovered the body. He had injuries on his head and legs. It is initially believed that he may have died on the spot after being hit by an unknown vehicle while crossing the highway.
