BACB gets new body
The election of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Association of Certification Bodies (BACB) for the term 2025-2027 was held on March 10, 2025, at Uttara Club, Dhaka.
The Association has elected Selim Shahed, Managing Director, Global Certification BD, as the President of BACB, according to election results.
Ahashan Habib, Managing Director, AGS Quality Action Limited, was elected as the Secretary-General and Vice President, Ataur Rahman, Treasurer, Abdul Kader, Director, United Certification, and other 6 officials are respectively elected as Members of the EC.
The BACB Election 2025 was held with an Election Commission formed with eminent professionals and highly esteemed independent Members.
The Election Commissioner was Abu Abdullah, Ex. Director General (Additional Secretary), Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB).
BACB is an industry association that represents accredited certification bodies (also referred to as Conformity Assessment Bodies) across a broad range of certification markets.
BACB assists its members by promoting the use of accredited certification, represents its members in liaising with accreditation and industry bodies, and supports the continual improvement of certification schemes and regulatory frameworks to deliver the best possible outcomes for end users of third-party certification.
