Changes are coming at various administrative levels after the change of government. In addition to the change of position, removal from responsibility by the government, there have been calls for resignation in various institutions. The same is the case in the education sector. There have been calls for resignations in various levels of educational institutions and related departments of the country.

Among these resignations are officials of various departments, university vice-chancellors, university hall provosts, proctors, registrars; College principals, school principals. Professor Kazi Shahidullah has resigned from the post of chairman of Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) from Australia on Sunday. In the email, citing physical illness, he resigned citing inability to perform the duties. Since the fall of the government, teachers have been resigning one by one from various responsibilities of Jahangirnagar University administration.

Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Mohammad Mostafa Feroz, provost of Shaheed Salam Barkat Hall Professor Sukallyan Kumar Kundu, provost of Sheikh Russell Hall Professor Tajuddin Shikder, University Proctor and provost of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Hall Professor Alamgir Kabir, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nurul Alam, contractual registrar Abu Hasan, Faziltunnesa Hall provost Prof Sayedur Rahman and Mir Musharraf Hossain Hall Provost Prof Sabbir Alam resigned on August 10.

On August 7, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Arts, the Provost and Proctor of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall at the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in Mymensingh were relieved. On the other hand, various assistant proctors of the university and the provost of Agniveena Hall Mr Hirak Mushfique resigned.

On August 8, all members of the Proctoral Body, Hall Provost, Assistant Provost of Sylhet Shahjalal University of Science and Technology submitted their resignations to the Registrar. Then on August 10, Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed resigned from the post of Vice-Chancellor of the University. On August 8, Rajshahi University Vice-Chancellor Prof Golam Sabbir, Student Advisor Prof Jahangir Alam Saud and Proctor Prof Asabul Haque along with 29 officials of the administration resigned.

 Begum Rokeya University's VC Professor Dr Md Hasibur Rashid resigned on August 9. Two days later, on August 11, eight teachers resigned from the post of provost and assistant provost of Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Hall of the same university. Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Maqsood Kamal along with freedom fighter Ziaur Rahman Hall, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Vijay Ekatar Hall, Martyr Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall, Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, Rokeya Hall and Shamsun Nahar Hall Provosts resigned.

On the same day, Islamic University (IU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Sheikh Abdus Salam, Vice-Chancellor Professor Mahbubur Rahman and Treasurer Professor Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan resigned. Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Kamrul Alam Khan resigned on August 11 due to personal and family reasons in the face of student protests. On the previous day, acting proctor Yusuf Ali, assistant proctor Sumit Kumar Pal and hall provost Partha Sarathi Das resigned.

Comilla University Vice-Chancellor Professor AFM Abdul Moin resigned on August 11 citing personal reasons. Netrakona Sheikh Hasina University Vice-Chancellor Professor Golam Kabir resigned on August 11. On the same day afternoon, National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Moshiur Rahman submitted his resignation letter to the Secretary of the Ministry of Education.

On August 11, JU Vice-Chancellor Sadeka Halim, University Proctor Professor Md Jahangir Hossain along with the entire Proctorial Body, (Acting) Registrar Professor Ainul Islam, Director of Public Relations and Publication Department Tanveer Ahsan, Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib Hall Provost Professor Dr Deepika Rani Sarkar resigned. Bangladesh Agricultural University VC Professor Dr Emdadul Haque Chowdhury resigned on this day.

Besides, Higher Education and Research Coordinator Professor Dr Abu Hadi Noor Ali Khan, Treasurer (Acting) Professor Dr  Saidur Rahman, Student Affairs Adviser Professor Dr Haroon-or-Rashid, Associate Student Affairs Adviser Professor Dr Afrina Mostari, Director of Transport Division Professor Dr Rafiqul Alam Resigned.

On August 12, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Prof Dr Mihir Ranjan Halder and Vice-Chancellor (Pro-VC) Professor Dr Sobhan Mia resigned. Two vice-chancellors of Chittagong University, Prof Sekander Chowdhury (Administration) and Prof Benu Kumar Dey and student advisor Prof Ali Azgar Chowdhury resigned on August 12.

Although he did not resign earlier, Professor Dr Md Abu Taher wants to be released in the face of agitation. Meanwhile, along with the university, there are calls for resignations in various colleges and schools as well. Shaheed Suhrawardy College Principal Professor Mohsin Kabir resigned on August 11.

Kabi Nazrul Government College Principal Amena Begum, Vikarunnisa Noon School and College Acting Principal Keka Roy Chowdhury and College Branch Professor and Governing Body (College) member Farhana Khanam resigned in the face of the agitation.

Dhaka College principal Mohammad Yusuf and Vice-principal ATM Mainul Hossain resigned in the face of the agitation on August 12. On this day, Professor Ferdous Ara Begum, Principal of Government Titumir College resigned in the face of students' agitation.

Rajshahi College Principal Professor Md Abdul Khalek resigned on the same day. He mentioned stress in his resignation letter. Meanwhile, students are protesting in several universities and colleges demanding the resignation of various levels of administration.

Chandpur University of Science and Technology Chandpur University of Science and Technology students in Khalishaduli raised various slogans demanding the resignation of VC Dr Nashim Akhtar and announced a shutdown in Chandpur University of Science and Technology. At this time, the students also demanded the resignation of the registrar.

However, Chandpur Science and Technology University VC Dr Nashim Akhtar has made it clear that he will not resign. In this regard, the vice-chancellor said the media that I will only resign if the government wants. On Tuesday, the students of the Mirpur Government Bangla College in the capital held a protest march and rally to demand the resignation of SM Amirul Islam, the principal.

At this time they blocked the road. On the other hand, the students of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in Trishal, Mymensingh have announced to continue their agitation until the resignation letter of Professor Soumitra Shekhar is submitted. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Gopalganj demanded the resignation of the vice-chancellor.

The entire administration, including BSMRSTU vice-chancellor, was given an ultimatum to resign, but no one resigned. On Tuesday, the students of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) staged a demonstration demanding the resignation of Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer, Registrar, Hall Provost, Proctor, Board of Regents member Dr Iqbal Kabir Zahid and the followers of the Vice-Chancellor.
