Dr Muhammad Abu Yusuf, principal of Ta’mirul Millat Kamil Madrasah, cheated the Non-government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) by changing the answer sheets` results and unethically appointing previously contracted people.
Ta’mirul Millat Kamil Madrasaha`s governing body inquired about his anomaly and formed a committee to investigate. The probe body found that he gave his nominated candidate the highest number to place first in the exam and tried to fill the vacant post in Millat Madrasha using this procedure.
This principal made the question set, and evaluation, and marked the answer sheets with the candidate, and the candidate achieved the highest mark and is now waiting for the viva. The Ta’amirul Millat Madrasha governing body revealed the scandal.
Abu Yusuf received 992 answer sheets for the evaluation on the 18th exam (written) from NTRCA as a head controller. Before that one of the team members, Md Shoriful Islam made the question set, but it was leaked by capturing a mobile photo by Shorif Mahmud who is one of the candidates after the evaluation process, Shorif Mahmud got the highest number 86 by the conspiracy of head examiner Abu Yusuf.
Principal Abu Yusuf and former lecturer of Millat madrasha Shorif Mahmud’ hometown are in the same area, Netrokona.
In this circumstance, the governing body of Ta’mirul Millat Kamil Madrasah found Principal Abu Yusuf dishonest and decided to suspend him till May 20, 2025, in a board meeting on November 20, 2024.
Kazi Kamrul Ahsan, deputy secretary of NTRCA said, that NTRCA operates examines only, it has no authority to penalize anyone.
Professor Mian Md Nurul Haq, chairman of Bangladesh Madrasha Education Board said, the management committee has already taken action as I listen.
Mohammad Afrifur Rahman Majumdar, deputy director (Admin) of the Directorate of Madrasha Education (DME) said, that we have the authority of any kind of illicit activities of teachers; such kind of crime must be punishable.
Suspended Abu Yusuf has took the principal seat on Saturday by force.
Suspended principal Abu Yusuf took the sit on Saturday with the support of local terrorists with Md Aiyub Hossein, register of Islami Arabiya University despite his suspended time is not over.
Abu Yusuf wrote an acknowledgment letter to the president of the governing body that "I have joined here on the directive of Jamaat central leader Sayed Dr. Mohammad Abu Taher who is the convener of Ta’mirul Millat Kamil Madrasah monitoring committee."
Dr Iqbal Hossen Bhuiyan, Trustee member of Ta’mirul Millat Kamil Madrasah said, there is no monitoring committee here, there are two committees related to the madrasah operation, the governing body and trustee committee.
One of the trustee members of the Madrasha said to decline his name, he is a self-declared child freedom fighter who was born on March 12, 1968, and the vice-president of Bangladesh Jamiatul Mudarreseen, Dhaka city committee, how he ‘manages’ the Jamaat leader is a mystery.
