Police arrested 2 people along with 9 thousand 785 pieces of yaba after searching the passenger bus coming from Chattogram at Manikchari police check post in Rangamati. These yaba were recovered from under a seat during a search of a Paharika passenger bus at Manikchari check post yesterday morning. The arrestees were identified as Md Wasim and his wife. Additional Superintendent of Police, Sadar Circle Md Saiful Islam said, based on secret information, a search operation was conducted on the Paharika passenger bus that left Chattogram. At this time, these yaba hidden under the seat were recovered. Md Wasim and his wife were arrested. There is a drug trafficking case against the arrested Wasim. The process of filing a case against the detained husband and wife under the Narcotics Control Act is underway.
