Mourning procession and dua-mahfils were held at Barishal in memory of the martyrs and national heroes of the anti-dictatorship movement.
Besides, a protest march was also held demanding the prosecution of all Awami terrorists including dictator Hasina and the banning of Awami League.
Shadhinota Forum Barishal organized a mourning and prayer ceremony at Ashwini Kumar Hall on Sadar Road in the city yesterday at 12 noon.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) executive committee member Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah was present as the chief guest at the event. Shadhinota Forum Barishal convener Alhaj Nurul Amin presided over it.
Leaders including BNP leader valiant freedom fighter Dewan Md Shahidullah spoke. Later, a protest march took place in front of Ashwinikumar Town Hall. The procession circumambulates the main thoroughfare of the city.
