The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh, Dr Mohammad Yunus thanked Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) and other power distribution organizations for ensuring uninterrupted power supply throughout the country during the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday at his official residence, Jamuna.
On this occasion, the BREB extends its warmest greetings and congratulations to all those involved in the largest power distribution program. This achievement is the achievement of all.
Our resources are limited. To ensure the best use of these limited resources, sermons have been broadcast in mosques across the country on the importance of saving power at the customer end and the challenges of power generation. In addition, leaflets and stickers have been distributed throughout the country to increase awareness about the use of electricity in order to ensure safe of energy. It is our moral and professional responsibility as employees of the Republic to ensure uninterrupted power supply to our respected customers. This success has been achieved through the dedicated efforts of all levels of officers/employees of BREB and Palli Biddut Samity (PBS).
The BREB Chairman, Major General S M Zia-Ul-Azim, NDC, AFWC, PSC has urged all officers/employees of BREB and PBS family to maintain this continuity of ensuring safe power supply.
