Out of nearly two thousand organizations, the best 20 organizations have been given the `Hero Award 2022` award. Tahmina Trisha, the chairperson of the organization accepted the award on behalf of “WFH Foundation”. The organization received the award for their various socio-economic development activities throughout the year 2022. On Saturday afternoon, `Hero Award 2022` program was organized under the initiative of Aarvi Foundation under Bangladesh Lions Foundation. About 1,900 individuals and organizations across the country applied for the award. Out of this, only 20 organizations were honored in the `Hero Award 2022`. WFH Foundation is a socio-economic development organization.
In 2022, nearly two lakh people were served by WFH Foundation. Giving sanitary napkins to raise awareness on women`s menstrual health, conducting medical camps and distributing medicine in remote areas, providing three times meal during flood, empowering the unemployed by giving business materials through `Project Tribeni`, providing house for the homeless people through Zakat Fund, Boibari Library to improve the quality of education, distributing the old clothes to the needy people in remote areas every three months, `Jibon Shundor Club` for mental health care etc activities were conducted by WFH Foundation in 2022. There is also `Triveni School` for underprivileged children.
WFH Foundation has been working for community development since 2016. Through this, they have stood by different people at different times. On Valentine`s Day, where everyone celebrates the day with their family and loved ones, WFH Foundation celebrated Valentine`s Day at Bishwa Sahitya Kendra through various activities to spread happiness among the underprivileged street children of the society. WFH Foundation won the `Joy Bangla Youth Award` in 2017 for contributing to the development of the society. The aim and objective of this organization is to build a self-sufficient and self-reliant country.
