Nur-E-Yasmin Fatima a dashing candidate of Lohagara UP polls

Upazila Parishad election is knocking on the door. There is no party symbol. Awami League is on hard line. Awami League wants fiercely competitive elections. Political analysts say, no matter how strict the high command of Awami League is, powerful leaders and MPs will make their own people the chairman. There is no doubt about it.  However, the last upazila of Chattogram south of Lohagara will be completely different from the upazila elections of the whole country.

The current upazila chairman of this upazila, who is extremely popular, died a few days ago. Now no guardian is in this area. Who will take the responsibility of Lohagara?  Many names come up in response to this question. On the request of the people, the industrialist Nur-E-yasmin Fatima assured to election.  Daily Post first report about this industrialist introduced her introduction and future plans for Lohagara upazila. As she is a candidate, there is an mix discussion about her after the announcement.

Industrialist Nur-E-yasmin Fatima only one name in the list of upazila chairman candidates in the good book of the central Awami League. One of the few industrial entrepreneurs in South Asia and the third largest employer in Bangladesh, Noman Group's founding chairman Mohammad Nurul Islam's daughter and DMD of Saad Group of Industries Limited are running for the post of upazila chairman. Her family, relatives and business well-wishers will spend at least Tk50 crore for the election. There is no end to the discussion about her.

Most of the chairman, members, party leaders and activists say that Nur-E-yasmin-Fatima has nothing to do. They will share all the responsibilities. The people of Lohagara are celebrating in this matter. Because this industrialist's family has given jobs to the educated youth of Lohagara, paved houses to the homeless, mosques to the Muslims, educational institutes for students, delivered free food to thousands of hungry people, given investments to entrepreneurs, Hospitals at a cost of Tk150 crore for helpless patients, donated  throughout the year.

Her father is one of the few people who sacrificed so much for village if we review the history of the country. His daughter is a candidate for upazila chairman election. Nothing can be more happy news for Lohagara. A local political analyst thinks that she will have to set a dummy candidate. If not, Lohagara will be get upazila chairman without contest. However, candidate Nur-E-yasmin Fatima says, if elected unopposed, I shall not get complete satisfaction. I want competitive election.
