Felani Khatun (15), a citizen of Bangladesh who was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in 2011 is not the last one, another child Swarna Das (13) killed by BSF last Tuesday.

After the independence of Bangladesh, 5154 civil citizens from Bangladesh were killed brutally by BSF. Recently, a flash flood from Dumbura dam raised the voices to protest the water policy of India.

Ex-Chatra Union leader Pinaki Bhattacharya called a boycott like 'India out' from the Maldives on January 17, 2024. He called this boycott a protest of Indian intervention in the national election of Bangladesh which was held on January 07, 2024.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) directly joined this boycott by senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi throwing his Indian shawl away on March 20.

After the regime change, Pinaki seems as the mastermind of this revolution, again announcing the 'India out' campaign on 06 September. His video message has already reached 1.4m viewers.

Analyzing the statistics, the March and April months of this year showed that these two months were badly affected by India out campaign. So if any campaign goes on, the so-called friendship between neighboring countries' foreign policy does not work properly.

Economics Times in India published about the present situation, “Political unrest in Bangladesh caused shares of Saffola edible oil producer Marico to drop over 4%, as the company generates 11-12% of its revenue from the country. Several other companies with operations in Bangladesh, including Pearl Global Industries, Emami, Bayer Corp, GCPL, Britannia, Vikas Lifecare, Dabur, Asian Paints, Pidilite, Jubilant Foodworks, and Bajaj Auto, could also be affected by the ongoing turmoil.”

BNP Leader Dr Harunur Rashid Bhuiyan Said, Awami League Government imported many unnecessary products from India whereas we have many competitive markets global, like Myanmar and China. Awami Government created extra barriers by imposing taxes to import from other countries. In an open and free market-based economy we should choose the alternative and diversity in policy. The interim government should take steps about it.
