Iftar items distributed in Pabna

Jahura Foundation has distributed Iftar items and cash among 140 local helpless, poor, old, and widowed people in Jumaikhiri village of Pabna's Atgharia upazila.

A program was organized on this occasion in the foundation's office premises yesterday afternoon. President of Jahura Foundation and former assistant professor of Pabna Medical College Dr. Rezaul Hasan presided over it. NSI Pabna Deputy Director Kamrul Hasan and District Social Services Directorate Deputy Director Rashedul Kabir spoke as guests of honor.

Chandpur's Faridganj Upazila Education Officer, founder member and chief coordinator of the foundation Azizur Rahman, among others, district social service office's probation officer Mamun Hossain, Atgharia upazila social service officer Ismat Jerin, freedom fighter Mohiuddin Ahmed, social worker Azizul Haque Biswas and others were present in the event. At that time, people from different classes and professions in the area were present.

The organizers said that iftar items were distributed among 140 people in Jumaikhiri, Gobindpur, Gangarampur, Chaubaria, Hidaskhol, Maheshpur, and Dengargram areas. Also, a cash assistance of Tk 15 thousand was given to a helpless sick person for one month's food.

District Social Services Office Deputy Director Rashedul Kabir said, good people start the day with something good. The work that the Jahura Foundation is doing has set an example in this society. Many people will be benefited if other organizations like this organization come forward to support the helpless people of the society.
