The 49th anniversary of the Islamic Foundation was celebrated in colorful arrangements across the country. On the occasion of the foundation anniversary, a discussion meeting was held yesterday noon at the head office auditorium of the Foundation in Agargaon on the contribution of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the spread of Islam.
Dr. Md. Bashirul Alam, the Director General (Additional Secretary) of Islamic Foundation spoke as the chief guest. On the other hand, wreaths were offered at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum (Dhanmondi No 32) yesterday at 9 am, under the leadership of the Director General of the Islamic Foundation.
Besides, discussions and prayer meetings were held in each district and divisional office of the Islamic Foundation, and 300 model mosques were inaugurated, including Anderkilla Shahi Jame Mosque in Chattogram, Jamiatul Falah Jame Masjid, and Hatem Khan Masjid in Rajshahi.
