Noor Mosque of Jamalpur's Bakshiganj is one of the nicest places to visit in the district. This mosque of aesthetic beauty attracts visitors. Devotees from different parts of the country come here to offer prayers. Although it is not a century-old mosque, its beauty has spread all over the country.
It was known that the mosque was built by the valiant freedom fighter Mabubul Haque Chishti after going to Hajj. There is a big dome in the middle of the roof of the mosque of three doors. The interior also has a collection of beautiful designs. And four big minarets with seven domes have been built around the pillars.
Md Mizanur Rahman, Muazzin of the mosque said that the main campus of this mosque has a wall around it to protect its sanctity. The courtyard is lined with Jhau trees (Beefwood). There is an old age home, an orphanage, a madrasah, and a beautiful Ablution place (wudukhana) next to this mosque surrounded by flower gardens. Iftar is also arranged here during Ramadan.
Md Belal Hossain, Imam of Noor of the mosque said that prayers were officially started in this mosque on May 11, 2018, with the first Friday prayer.
