A Six-member delegation led by Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Khondkar Nazmul Hasan of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) met Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmad Khan at his office yesterday.
Dhaka University Treasurer Professor Dr Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmad were present.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including starting shuttle bus service on the campus for the students of Dhaka University and determining the route, controlling the movement of public transport on the campus, setting up 'bars' at 6 entrances.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Khan said that the matter of starting shuttle bus service in Dhaka University campus is under process to facilitate the movement of students. He expressed hope for the speedy launch of this bus service. He sought the overall cooperation of Dhaka Metropolitan Police in various matters including the development of traffic management in the campus.
