A relief team of BSMR Maritime University distributed relief to the flood victims at Feni on 23 August by the direction of the Vice Chancellor Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, OSP, NPP, RCDS, AFWC, PSC, PhD. The team has visited five shelter centers of flood affected peoples at Sharshadi Union of Feni and distributed dry foods, saline and fresh water among 800 flood victims and they also handed over relief to 100 flood victims at Khajuria and Rampura area of Feni.
Besides, the students of BSMR Maritime University collected over Tk 2 laks money, dry foods, and cloths for the flood victims. The university authority also collected donations from individual. In addition, all the teachers, officers and staffs donate their one day salary for the flood victims. Maritime University is strongly united to stand beside flood affected people and will try to continue relief and financial aid initiatives.
