The Chief Guest made this comment at the 26th-anniversary celebration of the Hill Peace Accord at the traditional Bandarban Rajar ground premises organized by the Hill Zila Parishad yesterday morning. Before this, an auspicious procession was taken out from the district administration premises. The procession ends at the rajar ground. In the procession, 12 small ethnic groups of the hills took part in the procession. Later, 69 Infantry Region Commander Brigadier General Golam Mohiuddin Ahmed inaugurated the 26th anniversary of the Peace Accord in the field.

After that, he visited some stalls in the field. Speakers in the meeting said that the peace agreement was reached due to the sincere efforts of the present government. Because of this Peace Accord, there is a development of the hilly areas starting from education, and health communication in the mountains. The speakers thanked the present government for establishing peace in the hills. Acting Chairman of Bandarban Zilla Parishad Kanchan Joy Tangchangya presided over the function.

Deputy Commissioner Shah Mojahid Uddin, Chief Executive Officer of Hill Zilla Parishad Muhammad Masum Bilah, Superintendent of Police Saikat Shaheen, Member Lakshipada Das, Young Mro, Municipal Mayor Shamsul Islam, and officials of various public and private institutions were present.
