Ignoring the government instructions, the administration has not taken any action even after a month and a half of forcibly evicting Maulana Abu Ishaq, Acting Principal of Enayetullah Islamia Fazil Madrasa, Chatmohar, Pabna.
There was no investigation or mourning. On the contrary, they continue to legitimize Rabiul Islam, who occupied the post of Acting Principal in a terrorist manner. There is anger in the conscious circles about this.
However, in a notification signed by Kamrul Hasan, the deputy secretary of the administration and establishment wing of the Ministry of Education, on September 4, the principals or other teachers of technical and madrasa educational institutions have been instructed not to forcefully resign or harass them.
The victim Acting Principal Maulana Abu Ishaq complained to the Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer on September 20 and to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) on September 30 seeking justice for the incident. But even after a month and a half of the incident, the upazila and district administration are playing a silent role without taking any action.
According to the written complaint, on the morning of September 19, some local people went to the Madrasa acting principal Maulana Abu Ishaq's room. They insulted him in various obscene language including friend of Awami League, corrupt person. At one point, they asked him to leave the chair and hand over the key to whomever they wanted to be the acting principal. He tried to convince them in various ways but they did not listen. Forced him to leave the madrasa. Later they locked the madrasa.
Some time after that Madrasa's Acting Principal Rabiul Karim Bachchu, Assistant Professor of the same Madrasa, wearing a flower garland and sitting on a chair cheered those people along with some teachers of the Madrasa. They also make sweet faces. Those pictures and videos also spread on social media.
At that time, Rabiul Karim Bachchu, assistant professor of the madrasa and claimant of the acting principal, told the reporters, 'During the recruitment, the managing committee passed a resolution and gave me the responsibility of the acting principal. Despite telling Abu Ishaq repeatedly, he did not explain the responsibility. He claimed that the local people have put him in the chair of acting principal. But he could not give any answer as to whether he could or not, or whether it was lawful or not.'
Meanwhile, one month and 17 days after the incident, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) Mahfuza Sultana visited the madrasa on Tuesday (05 November) afternoon. At this time Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Reduanul Halim, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Maghreb Ali and many journalists were present. ADC said that Rabiul Karim Bachchu, who occupied the post by force, will serve as the acting principal. But Abu Ishaq was harassed and thrown out of the madrasa and did not say anything or take any action.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Mahfuza Sultana was called several times from several mobile phones from noon to afternoon on Wednesday, but he did not receive. He did not get a response even after sending a small message on WhatsApp.
