ASP beaten by policemen

There was a clash between the policemen and the senior officials over the incident in Bandarban's performance of duty. At that time, Additional Superintendent of Police Raihan Kazemi was beaten up by the policemen.

The incident took place at Police Lines on Bandarban-Balaghata road in the city at around 1:30 yesterday. However, no police officer working in the police lines agreed to talk about it.

In a video message, policemen working at Balaghata Police Lines in Bandarban expressed reluctance to perform their duties. Other policemen got angry with the District Additional Superintendent of Police Hossain Raihan Kazemi when he forcefully applied pressure to the policemen on duty. The members rushed towards the Additional Superintendent of Police with slogans of 'Bhua Bhua' at one point. When Additional Superintendent of Police Raihan started beating Kazemi, he ran away and took shelter in the armory of Police Lines.

It was known that the policemen in Bandarban declared a strike in the incident of burning the police station and killing the members of law and order forces across the country. There was no law enforcement force in the district to save lives and panic. Moreover, district police superintendent Saikat Shaheen has gone into hiding since the Prime Minister left the country. After seeing the crowd of eager people on the police line and on the road, more panic spread across the district police.

In this regard, Bandarban Superintendent of Police Saikat Shaheen was called several times on the phone, but he did not receive the call.
