13 kg of beef was stolen from the Tabligh Jamaat mosque in Barisal. This created a sensation in the entire area. The devotees of the area rushed to catch the thief. On Wednesday, 19 devotees from Dhaka's Kakrail Mosque came to Darul Mukarram Jame Masjid in Barisal Nagar's Brown Compound area for a 40-day chilla. Barisal's Tabligh Jamaat mates rushed there after hearing the news. In their honor, 13 kg of beef was bought and food was organized.
However, when Tabligh's companions left the meat on the second floor of the mosque in the afternoon, the meat was stolen. Members of Tablighi Jamaat and locals said that after stealing 13 kg of beef, a wallet with Tk6 thousand and a bicycle were stolen. Everyone is shocked by 3 thefts on the same day. Although many things have been stolen from the mosque, this is the first time that 13 kg of beef has been stolen. The mosque committee is shaken by such an incident. Mosque committee president Syed Mahbubur Rahman said to take legal action to find out how the wallet and bicycle along with the meat were stolen. The devotees said that in the last 6 months, 6 incidents of theft have occurred in Darul Mukarram Jame Masjid of Barisal. Apart from this, they demanded to installation CC cameras in the mosque compound as shoe theft often occurs in the mosque.
