Barishal city unit of BNP has brought out a rally marking the 'Revolution and Solidarity Day' on November 7.
The rally was held in front of the BNP office on Sadar Road in the city yesterday afternoon.
At the end, the leaders and activists took out a rally in the city. The rally ended in front of the party office after parading the main roads of the city.
The speakers said that no meeting or rally was allowed during the fascist Awami League government. People's democratic rights were taken away. Now the people of Bangladesh can express themselves freely. But if this interim government tries to hold on to power for long, the results will not be good. Therefore, power must be handed over to a democratic government through immediate elections. Earlier in the morning, leaders and activists of 30 wards of the city gathered in front of the party office with a procession.Central BNP co-organizing secretary Akon Kuddusur Rahman was the chief guest at the rally. Chaired by city BNP convener Moniruzzaman Khan Faruk, joint convener Afroza Khanam Nasrin, member secretary Zia Uddin Sikder, among others, were present.
