Child artists help flooded ppl by selling paintings

Artists in Barishal are selling paintings to raise funds for flood victims in various areas of the city. The child artists went to the office of the District Commissioner and handed over a check of Tk 32,000 to the Deputy Commissioner yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Shahidul Islam said that this art initiative for the flood victims of the country is commendable. We would also like to thank those who have extended their helping hand in various ways.

Artist, former secretary of Charukala Barisal, Asim Banik said that in this crisis of the country, Charukala Barishal has taken this initiative in the mindset that artists also have something to do. We have initially sent a check of Tk 32,000 through the District Commissioner to be sent to the Chief Executive's Relief Fund. The initiative continues.

Child artist Arshi Banik said that she likes to sell pictures for the flood victims and donate them to this relief fund. Roni Das, former secretary of Charukala Barisal, said that they initially selected 50 pictures. All proceeds from this photo sale are being donated to the Principal Advisor's loan fund.
