Cyprus girl comes to Savar

A young woman came from far away Cyprus for her. Then she got married in Savar Upazila of Dhaka.

The woman's name is Anthi Telebanthu. She is a resident of Limassol, Cyprus. She is married to Shamim Ahmed of Gazirchat Mahalla of Ashulia of Savar Upazila. Their wedding reception was held in Ashulia's Gazirchat Aynal Market area on Friday afternoon. Relatives and neighbors were seen rushing to see the foreign wife once.

Earlier on November 27, Anthi rushed to Shamim's house in Ashulia. Anthi and Shamim got married on November 30 in Dhaka Judge's Court.

Shamim Ahmed said I used to come to Anthi's house in Limassol city of Cyprus. At one point, I developed a close relationship with her family. When my visa expired, I returned home. Still, Anthi and I communicated online. She used to talk to my family on video calls. Anthi arrived in Bangladesh on November 27. Then we got married with the consent of both families. Anthi has adjusted to my family. Like eight or ten Bengali wives, she mixed with everyone. Her wish to be a Bengali wife has been fulfilled.

Bride Anthi Telebanthu said, "My family likes Shamim a lot. They also accepted our relationship. I am impressed by the hospitality of the people of Bangladesh."
