Demand for special allocation in budget

A high-level civic delegation led by eminent media personality and journalist leader Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul visited various areas of Paikgacha and Koyra, coastal townships of Khulna affected by Cyclone Remal.

The leaders of the delegation visited the damaged area of ​​Alamtla in Lashkar Union of Paikgacha Upazila yesterday morning as part of three visits to the southwest coast (Khulna-Satkhira-Bagerhat) affected by Remal. Later, they visited various affected areas of the Amadi Union of Koira Upazila and interacted with the affected people.

After the visit, a human chain and rally were held to demand special allocation in the national budget for the development of the disaster-affected southwestern coast on the banks of the Kapotaksh River in the Khyaghat area adjacent to Amadi Bazar.

Development Organization Leaders and Social Organizations organized the program in "Sundarban O Upokul Rokkha Andolan". Senior journalist Nikhil Chandra Bhadra, coordinator of ``Sundarban O Upokul Rokkha Andolan'' presided over it. Prominent media personality and journalist leader Manjurul Hasan Bulbul was the chief guest at the human chain and rally.

Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA) Aminur Rasul Babul, Professor Mir Mohammad Ali of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Executive Director of Leaders Mohan Kumar Mandal, Parliament News' editor Shakila Parveen, Economist Ashfia Nisha Bristy, Laskar Union Parishad Chairman KM Arifuzzaman Tuhin, Principal Rajib, Awami League Leader Mrinal Kanti Babu, Biswajit Sinha, Journalist Sanjidul Islam, Md Abdul Aziz, Obaidul Kabir Samrat, Riyad Hossain, Abdul Hamid Sardar, Afzal Hossain, Pradeep Dutta, Anis Rahman, Bishnupad, Shahidul Sardar and Zahurul Islam spoke there.

Aggrieved locals participated in the human chain program with banners, festoons, and placards with various demands.
