In Kendua Upazila of Netrakona, seeds of various species of vegetables and seedlings of native fruits, medicinal plants and forest trees have been distributed. A two-day agricultural training was held under the scheme of establishing family nutrition gardens in uncultivated fallow land and homestead courtyards in the financial year 2024-2025. Later, seeds of various species of vegetables and seedlings of native fruits, herbs and forest plants were distributed among the trainees.
At the upazila agriculture training center yesterday afternoon, the upazila agriculture officer agriculturist Sharmin Sultana distributed these vegetable seeds and tree seedlings among the 30 trainees who participated in the training. At that time, Upazila Additional Agriculture Officer Atiqur Rahman and Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Tariq Aziz were present. On the other hand, on the same day, 30 trainees participated in a day-long refresher training for farmers' groups under the Greater Mymensingh Region Crop Intensification Project in the financial year 2024-2025 at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Mustard seeds were also distributed among them after the training.
