The owner of the house, Tofail Ahmed (43), lived in Chilekotha. He used to deal in Yaba from there. Finally, he was caught with Yaba by the District Intelligence Branch (DB). Tofail Ahmed has been involved in drug buying and selling for a long time, the DB police said.
He was arrested with 400 pieces of Yaba from his house, Amena Villa, in Hajipara village, the district town of Noakhali, yesterday afternoon. The arrested Tofail Ahmed is the son of Haji Safi Ullah of Hajipara village, Ward No. 1 of Noakhali Municipality.
According to DB police sources, after receiving a tip-off, the District Intelligence Branch (DB) conducted a raid on the attic of the fourth floor of Amena Villa. At that time, 400 pieces of Yaba were seized from Tofail Ahmed. He used to collect Yaba from different places and bring it to his attic. Then he would supply it to the traders.
Noakhali Intelligence Branch (DB) Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Ashraf Uddin said, Tofail Ahmed is a professional drug dealer. He used to live in the attic of his house and used to deal in drugs there. We arrested him red-handed with 400 pieces of Yaba. A case has been filed at Sudharam Model Police Station. He has a previous drug case against him.
