A fish trader named Hasib Howladar (22) was killed in a road accident at Bhandaria in Pirojpur. Two more people were injured at this time.
The accident took place in Mardasi Bazar area of Bhandaria-Mathbaria road yesterday morning. The injured are Shadhin (30) and Mehedi (17). He is the son of Emadul Howladar of Debipur village of Mirukhali union of Mathbaria upazila of Hasib district.
The deceased Hasib's maternal grandfather Malek Khan said that Hasib used to look after the fish business with his uncle Shafiqul. That morning he was returning to Mathbaria after buying fish from Bagerhat. Later around 9 am, a Sakura Transport bus hit the TomTom. He died on the spot. Meanwhile, Shadhin and Mehdi were seriously injured.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhandaria Police Station Abir Mohammad Hossain said that after receiving information, the body was recovered from the spot and sent to Pirojpur Hospital Morgue. However, the bus has been impounded but the driver and helper are absconding. Legal action will be taken in this incident said OC.
