The executive committee of Goalanda Press Club has been abolished and a new convening committee has been formed.
The decision was taken at a monthly coordination meeting held at the temporary office of the club on Tuesday night.
Ganesh Paul of the Dainik Kaler Kantho and Md Shahidul Islam of the Dainik Somoyer Kagoj have been elected as convener and member secretary of the new committee.
The club members present at the meeting unanimously approved the proposal to form a new committee. The main responsibility of the convening committee will be to form a full-fledged executive committee by organizing the election of the club by next March-2025.
It was discussed in the meeting that the need for forming a new committee has been felt to make the activities of the press club more dynamic and effective. It was decided to work with the highest importance to the opinions of the club members.
