Officials and employees of Gangni Upazila formed a human chain protesting the assault on Upazila Secondary Education Officer Hosne Mobarak, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and ensuring a safe working environment.
The human chain was formed on the road in front of Gangni Press Club yesterday morning. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Pritam Saha led the human chain.
UNO Pritam Saha, Upazila Education Officer Hosne Mobarak, Gangni Upazila Health Complex Medical Officer Adila Azhar Arshi and Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Saidur Rahman spoke at the human chain.
Officials and employees of different offices of the upazila and teachers of different educational institutions were present in the human chain.
Secondary Education Officer Hosne Mobarak was attacked by some youths at his office on Monday while investigating a court case. Secondary Education Officer Hosne Mobarak filed a case on Monday night. Eight named and 3/4 unidentified people were accused in the case.
