Harmony rally held at Rangamati

A harmony rally was held with the officials of various departments of the district, local public representatives, dignitaries, journalists and representatives of various religious organizations on various issues including control of the overall situation after the violent incident that took place in Rangamati on September 20.

This harmony rally was held yesterday afternoon at 3:30 pm at the initiative of the district administration in the conference room of the district commissioner.

Rangamati District Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Khan presided over the harmony meeting, Rangamati Sadar Zone Commander Lt Col Md Ershad Hossain, District Superintendent of Police Dr SM Farhad Hossain, District Civil Surgeon Dr Nguyen Khisa, District BNP President Dipan Talukder Dipu, General Secretary advocate Mamunur Rashid Mamun, District Jamaat Amir Md Abdul Alim, Rangamati Lawyers Association General Secretary Rajib Chakma and others were present.

The speakers at the harmony rally said that the untoward incident that happened in Rangamati on the last 20th was not desired by anyone. Everyone should be vigilant so that such untoward incidents do not happen in future, we want all communities in Rangamati to live together in a spirit of harmony.

In the meeting, the leaders of all communities were called upon to make the people of their respective communities aware to keep Rangamati city conflict-free.
