Joint forces run drive to restore roads discipline

The joint forces conducted an operation in Mujibnagar to restore discipline on the road, including compulsory helmets to protect their lives, and of course driving licenses.

A joint team of army police and traffic police led by Mujibnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khairul Islam conducted the drive yesterday afternoon.

During this time, motorcyclists who do not have helmets on their heads, do not have driving licenses and all types of unregistered drivers are made aware. Later, drivers without vehicle papers, diving licenses and helmets are fined through mobile courts.

In the public awareness campaign, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer said that helmets must be used while riding motorcycles. In the first phase, we are conducting a public awareness campaign in coordination with the joint forces saying that there is a need to have a valid driving license along with the registration of the vehicle. Later, we will go to a more difficult position to restore discipline on the road.

Warrant Officer Jamal and Traffic Inspector Biswajit Ghosh and officials also were present on the occasion.
