Meanwhile, 92 mm of rain was recorded in Jashore from 12 noon to 2:30 pm yesterday. Jashore Airport Birshrestha Matiur Rahman Base Meteorological Office reported this information around 4 pm.

Meanwhile, several low-lying areas of Jashore Municipal City have been submerged due to incessant rains. Flooding has occurred in these areas. The people of the area have suffered. Meruna Jasmin, a resident of Old Kasba Mosiur Rahman Road in the city, said, "During three hours of rain, six inches of water has accumulated in my house. The people of the house have to get the water out now.

Amin Uddin, a vegetable farmer of Abdulpur village in Jashore Sadar, said that in our area, seedlings of Jhal, brinjal, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, cabbage etc. are being planted. I have the seeds for all of these. The seeds that did not grow in this rain will perish. Apart from this, the seedlings of those who have planted the last two or three seedlings will also be destroyed. He said, although this area is relatively high, many lands have been submerged in today's rain. Some of my seedlings are under water. The farmer suffered a lot.

When contacted, Jashore Agriculture Extension Department Deputy Director Dr. Sushant Kumar Tarafdar said, this is a bad news for the winter vegetable growers. This rain has caused a lot of damage to crops in the country. Farmers were excited about early vegetable cultivation. Yesterday's rains are causing great damage to them. The harvest will be delayed. Apart from this, it is not possible to say how much damage has been done to seedbeds or planting new seedlings.
