The Nabanna festival was celebrated yesterday morning at the initiative of Sreepur Upazila Tikarbila Government Primary School in Magura.
On this occasion, a rally with the participation of teachers and students of the school went around Tikarbila Bazar in the morning and came to the primary school premises for a discussion meeting.
In the discussion meeting, chaired by the school management committee president Ashraf Mandal, Sreepur Press Club president Dr Musafir Nazrul, freedom fighter and former headmaster Molla Matiar Rahman, ward BNP president Moslem Uddin, Sreepur Press Club joint general secretary Khan Abu Hasan Liton and others spoke as special guests.
The program was moderated by the school's headmaster Sharafat Hossain, and among others, Sreepur Press Club vice-president Ashraf Hossain Paltu, school management committee member Rehana Parveen and others were present. After the discussion meeting, a pleasant cultural program was held with the participation of the school students. Later, everyone was treated to khichuri cooked on new rice.
