‘No alternative for youth to build new Bengal’

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud said that there is no alternative to the role of young society in building new Bengal.

They are the only ones who can lead the development of Bangladesh. The renaissance that has been created in Bangladesh today is due to the welfare of the youth. Therefore, this country will not be able to stay at the peak of development by keeping them away. We want to transform the youth into skilled manpower through better training and become a self-reliant nation. Today is a good start in our struggle to advance that noble goal.

He said this while addressing the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the country's first village-based VDP 10-day basic training organized in the hall of Jaikrishnapur Government Primary School of Nawabganj Upazila, Dhaka yesterday afternoon.

The Director General also said that the country where the youth play a greater role in the society is more developed. Basically this work is done by the state. As a result, the state has provided Ansar and Village Defense Forces with this structure so that through training, the youth can play a role in building a better society and state in the future.

It is known that for the first time, 30,000 village-based VDP men and women in Bangladesh are being brought under basic training in response to the formation of village defense forces. In this, they themselves will work to build a self-reliant society and state.

Deputy Director General Md Rafiqul Islam, Dhaka Range Commander Ashraful Alam, District Commandant Alamgir Shikder, Public Relations Officer Ashiquzzaman, Deputy Director Nazmuch Salehin Noor and many others were also present.
