The authorities had notified to bring charger lights to the HSC examination center in Feni. A notice signed by Zahidul Islam, convenor and senior lecturer of Feni Zainal Hazari Degree (Hons) College Center was posted on the college's Facebook page last Saturday night.
Netizens started making various comments on social media about the issue. According to the relevant sources, the HSC and equivalent examinations are going on in Feni like the rest of the country. 849 candidates are participating in the examination at Hazari College Center of the district.
In the notice of the college, it was said that if there is no uninterrupted power supply in the examination center due to inclement weather, the examinees were requested to keep charger lights and necessary examination materials with them so that the examinees can participate in the examination smoothly. Meanwhile, the netizens were seen making various comments about such a notice from the college authorities.
A person named Shahriar Ahmed Sayem wrote in the comment of that post, that such a big unprofessional decision of a reputed college is ridiculous and disgraceful. Candles could be provided by the college authorities if there was a great need.
In this regard, the principal of that college Mohammad Enamul Haque told the media that this notice has been given due to the fear of inclement weather. Moreover, there is no generator system in the college. Candidates may face difficulties if the power goes out. 849 candidates are participating in the examination at this center. It is not even possible to arrange candles for so many students.
