A palm tree planting program has been conducted to prevent lightning in Kishoreganj. This program was held at Gurudayal Government College on the initiative of Shuktara Social Welfare Organization yesterday afternoon.
Principal of Gurudayal Government College Professor ANM Mushtaqur Rahman was the chief guest. Deputy Director of District Social Service Office Kamruzzaman Khan, Assistant Director of District Environment Directorate Abdullah Al Mateen, General Secretary of Press Club Saiful Malek Chowdhury were special guests in the program presided over by Rezail Hasnat Nahid, President of the organization.
Ashekur Rahman Chaman and Hossain Sabbir Ahmed provided overall assistance in the program. At this time, hundreds of palm trees were planted in the premises of Gurudayal Government College to prevent lightning. Journalist Abul Kalam Azad, Ziku Khan and many others were present at this time.
