Organized by Narcotics Control Directorate Cumilla and with the cooperation of Chinaya-Kodalia Conscious Civil Society of Burichang Upazila, a seminar titled "Danger of Drugs: Role of Conscious Civil Society" was held last Thursday morning at Chiniya Kodalia Hafezia Madrasa Auditorium to create public awareness on drug prevention.
Burichang Upazila Nirbahi officer Sahida Akhtar was the chief guest of the program while showing the red card to the drug addicts and reading the oath to the residents.
The seminar was presided over by Abdur Rahim Banker, Senior Executive Vice President of National Bank Limited Plc.
Chowdhury Imrul Hasan, deputy director of Narcotics Control Department Cumilla, Azizul Haque, officer in charge of Burichang police station, Kharera BOP camp commander Subedar Malekul Islam were special guests.
Shankuchail Islamia Dakhil Madrasa Superintendent Mir Hossain presented the keynote at the seminar, Assistant Professor Abul Kalam Azad, Department of Social Sciences, Cumilla Victoria Government College.
