Six students absent in HSC exams in Kaptai

Like the other parts of the country, the HSC and equivalent examinations started simultaneously in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati district yesterday.

The examination is being held only one examination center of Kaptai Upazila which is Karnaphuli Government College. Meanwhile, 6 candidates of Kaptai Upazila are absent from the Bengali 1st paper of HSC and equivalent examination held on the first day.

Confirming the matter, Siraj Uddin, vice principal of Karnaphuli Government College and convenor of examination monitoring committee, said that the examination is being held very nicely and smoothly on the first day of the HSC examination. However, 6 students are absent in the 1st day examination.

Meanwhile, the principal of Karnaphuli Government College and the officer-in-charge of the center AHM Belal Chowdhury said that a total of 852 candidates are participating in science, humanities and business groups in the only center of the upazila, Karnaphuli Government College. Among them, 164 candidates from Kaptai Naval School and College and 688 candidates from Karnaphuli Government College are participating.

After visiting the center on the first day of examination, Kaptai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Mohiuddin said that we have all the preparations as per the instructions of the board to conduct the examination properly in the only center of Kaptai Upazila. Section 144 has been issued in the interest of law and order within 200 yards of the centre. Examination has started in fair environment.
