The students of Paikgachha Government Girls' High School in Khulna have blocked the school demanding the removal of its headmaster Bhairavi Rani Mondol over allegations of irregularities, arbitrariness and abuse of power.
At 10:30 am, more than 200 students locked all the classrooms and the main gate of the school and stayed on the main road and chanted various slogans against the headmaster Bhairavi Rani Mondal.
At that time, the students alleged that the headmaster Bhairavi Rani Mondal came to school once a month after joining Paikgachha Government Girls' High School. The teacher behaves discourteously with the students while leaving with the salary.
Teachers of the school said that if there is no headmaster, all the activities of the school come to a standstill as the head teacher has the authority to sign everything.
Meanwhile, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahera Naznin came to the agitating students at 11 am and listened to their complaints and assured them of a solution.
