Winter is knocking at the door. Dense fog heralds the arrival of winter. Yesterday suddenly thick fog was seen in northern district Naogaon as a sign of winter. Yesterday morning was a little different for the people of Naogaon. Fog was seen from dawn to 8 am. It covered the entire district. More fog is seen from the city towards the countryside. The sun did not appear until ten in the morning.
In the morning, different areas can be seen, due to the fog around, a different natural environment prevails. Worshipers coming for Fajr Namaz, pedestrians going for a walk and workers going to work are excited by seeing the foggy atmosphere. Due to the fog, some vehicles on the road were seen with their headlights on in the morning. Locals said that it is hot during the day and mild winter is felt at night. On the last night, kantha or a thin blanket has to be wrapped around the body. But thick fog and severe winter are still to come.
Abdul Awal of Barunkandi area of Sadar Upazila said that all of a sudden this morning, fog has fallen all around. I finished the prayer and went out for a walk. It feels so good to walk. The thick fog in the morning tells us that winter is coming. Iqbal Hossain, who went out for a walk in Naogaon city, said, I go out for a walk almost every morning. But this morning felt a little different. Looking at the white fog around, it seems that the winter day has arrived. But weather is not too cold. The fan had to run in the house till half of the night.
Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Badalgachi Meteorological Observatory of the district, said that the lowest temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius in Naogaon yesterday at 6 am. Even though it is sunny and hot during the day, the temperature decreases after evening. At this time the monsoon is leaving. That's why thick fog suddenly appeared all around. It can be called the message of the arrival of winter. But it will feel a little cold from November.
