Youth beaten to death, case against 100 people

A young man named Nazmul Mollah (32) who was seriously injured in the lynching in Rajbari died while undergoing treatment. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalukhali police station Mohammad Zahedur Rahman confirmed that the body has been sent to Rajbari Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem yesterday morning. Earlier on Saturday morning, Nazmul was beaten up by local residents while fleeing from Harinbaria village of Kalukhali Upazila's Ratandia Union the head of a transformer. Meanwhile, Nazrul Kazi, who was with him, escaped along with another person.

In this incident, Anna Begum, the wife of Nazmul, who was killed last Saturday night, filed a case against 90 to 100 unidentified people at Kalukhali police station as the plaintiff. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalukhali Police Station Mohammad Zahedur Rahman said that the body was sent to Rajbari Sadar Hospital morgue yesterday morning for autopsy. Anna Begum, the wife of the deceased Nazmul, filed a murder case at the police station on Saturday night accusing 90 to 100 unknown persons. However, no arrests have been made in this case yet.
