Chinese Sports Club embarked at Swadesh Sunvalley Housing

The Chinese Sports Club started its journey to strengthen the friendly relations and cultural ties between China and Bangladesh. Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen inaugurated the club on Friday (December 8) around 10 a.m. The club has built 'Great Wall Engineering Company Limited' under the management of Sunvalley Housing by Swadesh Properties Limited and under the umbrella of Commercial Union. The people living in Dhaka lead a tedious life of daily busyness and pattern.

There is no open ground for them to play sports in this city. There is not enough space to play sports like badminton, basketball, volleyball, football, etc. As a result, as these sports are vanishing from city life, the exercise habits created by sports are also missing from the daily routine. Keeping this thought in mind, Great Wall Engineering Company Limited took the initiative to build this 'Chinese Sports Club'. Not only that, the journey of this club is also based on the idea of reducing the distance between the people of Dhaka and the Chinese citizens living in Bangladesh. Freedom fighter Md. Wakil Uddin, the owner of Swadesh Properties Limited, thought of this dream. He always thinks of public welfare for the people of the city. He had been thinking of building an exceptional club for Chinese citizens living in Dhaka for a long time. To implement that idea, he leased his 'Sunvalley' residential land to that company. After that, the work of making the club started.

According to club sources, currently, only Chinese citizens can play sports in this club through membership. Sports will also be arranged for Bangladeshis in the future. The club will have sports facilities for men, women, and children. Sports can be played there from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

In this regard, the executive director of Swadesh Properties (Retd.), Colonel Md. Rakibul Haque, said, "Many Chinese citizens live in Bangladesh. But there is no such arrangement for their entertainment. Keeping this in mind, Swadesh Properties has given them the 'Sunvalley' residential land. The Chinese Sports Club was built there. Currently, boys can play all kinds of sports here. However, for girls, only badminton has been arranged at present. Later, more sports will be arranged for girls. Rakibul Haque also said, "In the future, this club will be spread across the country on a larger scale. Besides, a complex will be built for the club. There, people who come to the club can relax after sports and prepare themselves for the next day. At the same time, through this club, the reputation of Swadesh Properties Limited, Sunvalley Housing, will also spread across the country.

Chinese ambassador Yao Wen said, "I believe that the club will play a very good role in entertainment." There are thoughts of expanding the club on a larger scale. Not only that, through the club, it will be possible to develop better friendly relations between Bangladesh and China. Through this, the economic situation between the two countries will be more prosperous.

Chinese Sports Club Organizer Chen Zhu, Senior Legal Management Associate Zhu Yongle James, and members of China Commercial Union were also present during the grand opening of the club.
