Records made as Sunrisers Hyderabad smashed 277 for 3, the highest total in IPL history, to leave Mumbai Indians shell shocked here on Wednesday
SunRisers Hyderabad is the fourth highest total in T20s and the highest outside of Internationals. SunRisers broke the 11-year IPL record of RCB who hit 263/5 against Pune Warriors India in Bengaluru in 2013 while the previous highest in any domestic/franchise league was Punjab's 275/6 against Andhra in Ranchi in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2023/24.

523 runs the aggregate of 523 runs is the most ever in a T20 match surpassing the previous highest of 517 in the T20 International between South Africa and West Indies in Centurion last year. It is the first time the 500-run tally has been breached in IPL surpassing the 14-year old record of 469 runs in the match between CSK and Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk in 2010 edition.
Travis Head (62 off 24) and Abhishek Sharma (63 off 23) came up with a sensational display of power-hitting, that saw the latter snatching the franchise record for fastest fifty from the Australian within minutes. Heinrich Klaasen (80 not out off 34 balls) provided the fireworks in the end to help SRH break an 11-year-old record. The previous highest total in IPL was 263 for five achieved by Royal Challengers Bangalore back in 2013.
On the contrary, Mumbai Indians fought their best and managed 246/5 in 20 overs. they lost by 31 runs to SRH. Abhishek Sharma placed Player of the Match who scored 63 by 23 balls.
